Mark SchrantzHLM Productions: Let Us Do the Heavy Lifting for You

Through more than a decade of television production, Mark Schrantz learned how to use video to tell a compelling story. He decided to form HLM Productions because he felt clients were not getting the full benefits from their video production investments.

Mark knows that effective video production begins with understanding what a client is trying to accomplish. That’s why Mark acts as a consultant to his clients before any video production work begins. This approach results in a laser-targeted solution for his clients, thanks to his growing staff of professional producers.

Mark began his career as an intern at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio and quickly took an interest in learning the latest computer video production and design approaches. After working in the marketing department for Snowshoe Mountain, a resort in West Virginia, Mark returned to Cincinnati to work as a graphic designer for WCPO-TV. Then he moved to WLWT-TV where he worked for 10 years, working his way up the ranks and eventually acting as design director, responsible for the station’s branding, set design and taking a large role in the video production efforts.

Although the company’s name actually came from the first initials of Mark’s family members, Holly, Leo and Mae, Mark jokes that HLM has evolved to stand for “Heavy Lifting Media.” HLM Production strives to do the heavy lifting for clients – so they don’t have to.

Mark has become a trusted adviser and producer for clients that serve some of the USA’s most respected companies. Although he initially focused on working with research firms, Mark has expanded his staff and operations to work in all types of video production –including producing corporate videos and commercials directly for clients using the most advanced video production techniques...
